You know what, everyone on this shit it serious... Rival recently came to realization of the skill on the mixtape which is set to release June 28th this year! Rival was sifting through the current tracks and choosing the singles this morning.
Ah yes, The singles, I know for sure on the 12th we'll be releasing "The Assassination" and later that week I'm releasing "Anywhere, Anything" Then the third Single will be Matrix putting out "Crazy Thought (Freestyle)" The first single from the mixtape is "The Assassination" by Adversary. Adversary is a group established by Rival, CEO of Yes Sir Records, and is a group of individuals that were trying music for fun consisting of; D-Rek, Converse, Vanquish, Da Terrorist, and Lil Rye. No one in this group has a deal with Yes Sir Records yet due to the face that each person has their own style and Rival and Matrix are deciding who should be involved in a group deal and who should go solo... "Yeah D-Rem and Converse just sound so good on tracks together, Vanquish can do his thing on a beat alone but he too sounds good with those guys, Lil Rye sounded really good solo, and Da Terrorist like is just in on being a erse kinda guy, but he has tried writing hooks so we have a lot of work to do with everyone!" Rival intends to sign Vanquish on a solo deal, meaning if he teams with Adversary on a song or project he would be a featured guest. Now Vanquish needs to go solo, Lil Rye still needs to find his style! So as of now, D-Rek, Converse, and Da Terrorist, are going in as a group deal, Vaquish is the only solo project I am planning on signing!
Rival spent hours and days deciding who was doing what for this mixtape, and already with the tracklisting released for viewing questions are coming up... "So I log in check my inbox and two messages are about why I have so many songs on the mix, I can lie and say that's odd lemme take some off, or say I was working hard on music when we decided to make a mixtape. Matrix is working on a new project and so is Vanquish, the tracklisting will get longer and it WILL change a bit before the album actually drops!"
On June 28th 2010 the mixtape will be released, and everyone will have the ability to hear what the label is making...
Also, Big Rick? Whats going on with him? "Big Rick is slacking a little, I mean he has some potential and that's why I signed him" Big Rick was singed to a one year deal in late 2009, he recorded 2 songs through Yes Sir Records, one being "Special Girl" and the other song "Money (Feat Rival & Matrix)" He could be placed on the mixtape if he came out with another song but, as of right now he is being excluded from the mixtape due to a suspension from the label due to unclaimed material. Meaning (in Rival's words)"I mean do what you gotta do, MAKE MUSIC, but losing contact with your label is like losing contact with music itself, this is why he cannot be added to the mixtape and this thing will be big!" With all that said the "Yes Sir Records Mixtape" is a mix to be gotten, be sure to download the free mixtape June 28th 2010!!!
