Rival "Who's in the midwest?"

Who's in the Midwest? Asked to Rival

"Well I have been asked this so many times! Its like everyone who talks about hip hop they have the names they know due to popularity especially nowa days ask some one what rappers do you know of?... Most times they say, Jay-Z, T.I., Weezy, Eminem, Snoop, Jeezy, Tupac, Biggie, 50, Dre, and so much more..."

But who is huge in rap? Who's name pop in your head every time you hear about rap? Many people would say Weezy is the biggest name... "Don't get me wrong Weezy is dope, and yes he is HUGE in hip hop right now but wheres he from?" Lil Wayne was born and raised in Louisiana, New Orleans to be exact, and everyone knows that... Come on did Rival really not know that? "Of course I know but thats the south everyone people know about in rap most of them are from the south, the south is running the game! TIP, Drake, Weezy, count them you'll need fingers, toes, tally marks, all that shit!"

When introducing himself online or at shows Rival does get the constant comparison, Why you think you can make it from Minneapolis, that Midwest no one has come out of there in music for a long time... "People forget a lot who they probably listen to a lot Eminem is from Detroit, granted he does work with people from NY and LA, He's from here THE MIDWEST!" Rival only asks people to do their research before saying the Midwest ain't got shit... So here are some of the BIG names to come out of the Midwest, in hip hop of course. Eminem (Detroit), Tech N9ne (KC), Twista (Chicago), Nelly (St. Louis), Atmosphere (Minneapolis) [The same place Rival is from!], and "Probably one of the founding groups in hip hop, old school dudes that have been in the game for years Bone Thugs-n-Harmony"
